Third Grade Weekly Update

Dear Parents,

I hope this email finds you well! We are right around the corner from finishing our 2nd trimester. This year is flying by and it’s been so wonderful to see the third grade students grow. Report cards will be distributed on March 17th. Hopefully you have been going over student work that is sent home and have a good idea where your student stands academically already. 

We have an upcoming field trip to see “Cinderella” at the San Francisco Ballet on April 6th. I’ve taken third graders before and they absolutely loved it! More information will follow soon. 

Here are some dates to plan for: 

• Wednesday, Mar. 8: Noon Dismissal, Teacher PD
• Friday, Mar. 10: End of T2
• Tuesday, Mar. 14: Free Dress for March BDays
• Friday, Mar. 17: Report Card Day
• Friday, Mar. 31: Noon Dismissal

Lastly, we will have an “in school field trip” on March 21st called The Shelley’s Adventure Experience. It will be presented by award winning author Kentrell Martin, and is an interactive book reading that includes American Sign Language. Families have an opportunity to purchase a goody bag that includes an autographed book and other items. Please see the link found here for more information and ordering.
