Third Grade Weekly Update

Dear Parents,

I hope this email finds you well. Third graders did a great job of bouncing back into our routines after the break and have begun practicing more complex reading and writing exercises that will prepare them for next year. You may have seen some of it come home this week if students didn’t finish it in class and needed to take it home for homework.

Our next field trip is to Legoland at The Great Mall in Milpitas on Friday, April 26th. This trip connects directly to one of the last Science standards we’ll study this year, basic engineering. Legoland offers workshops aligned with California State Standards that we’ll be participating in as well. My intent is that after we attend, we will be able to come back into the classroom and use the skills we learned to further our understanding of basic engineering and create something wonderful with Legos by the end of the year. We will be transported by bus, and I will send further information and reminders before the trip.
