Third Grade Weekly Update
Dear Parents,
Students worked hard this week to complete new tasks in ELA. A big concept we focus on in third grade is re-reading for comprehension. As you probably know, this doesn’t come naturally to most of them. My intent with this week’s assignments and subsequent work is to give them the opportunity to develop this important skill. How can you help, you might ask? Please review their returned work, highlighting areas for celebration and improvement.
Here are some upcoming dates to plan for:
- Friday, Mar 22 – School Spirit Day – Disney Day
- Monday, Mar 25 – Stations of the Cross
- Tuesday, Mar 26 – Tenebrae, 1:00-2:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, Mar 27 – Seder Meal, 11:00 a.m., Noon dismissal
- Thursday, Mar 28 – No School: Holy Thursday, No Share and Care (Cesar Chavez Day Observed)
- Friday, Mar 29 – No School: Good Friday, No Share and Care
