Third Grade Weekly Update
Dear Parents,
I hope you are on your way to enjoying the long weekend! I just finished with a diocesan professional development day and am looking forward to implementing some of the new resources we learned about.
We had a fantastic time on our field trip this past week! Thank you to all the chaperones who attended. Father Brandon led us on our tour and was warm, charismatic, and knowledgeable. Our class received high accolades for their good behavior, and for many, it was a transformative experience that deepened their relationship with God (multiple students told me this!). If you ever have an opportunity to attend mass at the Cathedral, I highly recommend it.
Here are some upcoming dates to plan for:
- Monday, January 15 – NO SCHOOL, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- Tuesday, January 23 – Free dress for January birthdays
- Wednesday, January 24 – Noon Dismissal, Teachers Professional Development
- Thursday, January 25 – School Spirit Day – Class theme
- Sunday, January 28 – Open House, immediately following Mass/Science Fair 10:00-11:30 a.m.
- Sunday-Friday, January 28 – February 2 – Catholic Schools Week
Please read our SPN Weekly Newsletter to keep up with school events and information!
Lastly, students will begin performing their poems next week in preparation for the Oratorical Festival at the end of the month. Please practice with your child so they are prepared.
Have a great weekend!
