“Children learn as they play. Most importantly, in play children learn how to learn. ” ~ O. Fred Donaldson
Hello parents,
It was great to have the children back in the classroom. They smoothly transitioned back into their daily routine and had fun reconnecting with their friends.
We learned about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and why we celebrate him with a holiday. The preschoolers colored their MLK posters that now decorate the classroom. We also ended the Christmas season with a lesson on the Three Kings. On Monday, we will start our exploration of dinosaurs with lessons on paleontology. We will also be practicing writing. Some will practice spelling their names out loud.
For families who are interested in having their child move on to TK next year, we recommend that you attended the Information Night this coming Wednesday at 7:00pm. There is also a “Come Play with TK and K” event on January 17th. A parent must be present at this event.
We will see you soon!
Blessings, Ms. Grace and Miss Rosie
