Preschool Weekly Update-week of 3/6
At Blackwater Pond the tossed waters have settled
after a night of rain.
I dip my cupped hands. I drink
a long time. It tastes
like stone, leaves, fire. It falls cold
into my body, waking the bones. I hear them
deep inside me, whispering
oh what is that beautiful thing
that just happened? – Mary Oliver
Dear Preschool Parents,
We are nearing the end of the 2nd trimester! The children have their routines down and are really blossoming. It is amazing how quickly the time has passed.
This month we are studying “Pond Life,” the letters N,W,Z, Numbers 13 & 14, and the ABB pattern. Our forrest friend is Otter who is teaching us about responsibility. The children have studied tadpoles, pond snakes and frogs this week. This coming week we will look at pond plants.
Our Lenten Good Deeds chart is starting to take shape and color. We have heard and seen kindness and good deeds in the classroom and playground! Keep it up preschoolers! We hope your home chart is also becoming colorful.
On Monday we will welcome a new preschooler! The children are so excited to meet their new friend.
Have a restful weekend!
Blessings, Ms. Grace and Ms. Hanen
