Third Grade Weekly Update

Dear Parents,

I hope you’ve had a productive week! Third graders have begun focusing on the relationship between multiplication and division and will move onto finding areas of shapes in the coming weeks. These concepts are introduced in third grade and will continue to be built upon in the coming years. We’ve also revisited some of our basic procedures such as coming into the classroom quietly, raising a quiet hand to be called on, and working together to resolve issues. All in all, we are very busy in third grade (as many of you have witnessed or imagined in a classroom of 31!).

Here are some dates to plan for:

  • Tuesday, Feb. 14: St. Valentine’s Day- red/white/pink free dress
  • Friday, Feb. 17: Noon Dismissal
  • Monday, Feb. 20: No School/No Share & Care- President’s Day
  • Tuesday, Feb. 21: Burning of the Palms
  • Wednesday, Feb.22: Ash Wednesday, All School Mass (Full uniform)
  • Wednesday, Mar. 8: Noon Dismissal, Teacher PD
  • Friday, Mar. 10: End of T2
  • Tuesday, Mar. 14: Free Dress for March BDays
  • Friday, Mar. 17: Report Card Day
  • Friday, Mar. 31: Noon Dismissal
