Third Grade Weekly Update
Dear Parents,
I hope you are looking forward to the long weekend as much as I am!
Third graders did an excellent job leading our All School Mass for the beginning of our Lenten season, and we’ve continued our conversations about giving up habits in order to make us, or our communities, better. As a reminder, these were habits such as arguing with others, unkind words or excluding. We’ve also enjoyed watching episodes from a new religion curriculum that was adopted last year called Studio 3:16. The category we are currently focusing on is “Humility, Generosity, and Courage,” which ties in nicely with Lent.
Here are some upcoming dates to plan for:
- Friday, Feb. 16 – Noon Dismissal
- Monday, Feb. 19 – NO SCHOOL – Presidents Day – No Share and Care
- Tuesday, Feb. 20 – Free Dress for February Birthdays
- Friday, Feb. 23 – Academy of Science Field Trip
- Saturday, Feb. 24 – Gala Auction

Sunday, 2/18 – 4th grade boys @ St. Joseph’s Alameda 12:00 pm
