JESUS FALLS THE FIRST TIME
Despite your best efforts, the weight of the cross causes you to fall to the dusty ground. If I were there, I would see the rocks cut into your skin and hear the taunts of the crowd. But Lord, I’d also see you breathe, turn your eyes skyward, and rise again.
When have I fallen despite my own best efforts? Sometimes I try as hard as I possibly can, and things still don’t work out as I planned. Do I have the courage to focus not on my perceived failures, but on my own ability to stand up and try again?

When have I been the one to fall? Were my efforts really “not good enough”, or was there a lesson in perseverance God needed me to learn?
