Preschool Weekly Update-week of 5/22

Grasshoppers

Grasshoppers go in many a thumming spring And now to stalks of tasseled sow-grass cling, That shakes and swees awhile, but still keeps straight; While arching oxeye doubles with his weight. Next on the cat-tail-grass with farther bound He springs, that bends until they touch the ground John Clare

Hello parents,

We had a great time exploring the praying mantis, walking stick bugs and grasshoppers last week. The children had some fun projects that support their bug curriculum. We have finished our shapes, colors and alphabet curriculum and have one more week exploring the world of insects.

On Friday, an invitation to our “End of Year Celebration” went home. This program is approximately 30 minutes long. It is a regular preschool day and the children wear their uniforms. You are welcome to take your child with you after the program. We hope you are able to attend.

This Friday, May 26th, is the Feast of Saint Philip Neri. This is an all school mass. The Preschoolers will be joining the student body to process into the church. We will be leaving the classroom at 8:10am to line up in the big school yard. If you are unable to make to school by 8:10am, please sign your child in and walk them to the Fountain St. entrance of the church. Ms. Hanen will be at the door to receive your child.
