Preschool Weekly Update – week of 10/3

“Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn.”
– Elizabeth Lawrence

Dear. Preschool Parents,

I have always loved this simple quote, it reminds me to slow down and watch nature’s wonder. This past week the children have discovered why leaves change color in the Fall and why pumpkins turn orange. It was a week filled with art projects and a review of our September curriculum.

This coming week we start our October curriculum, “Down on the Farm”. We will explore farm animals, farm structures, planting and harvesting. Our Forest Friend is Bear. Bear will help us learn to be patient. During the month we will introduce the letters, I, L, & E, square, the color blue, 3 & 4 and the ABB pattern.

Today your child went home with their progress report envelope, which is a snapshot of your child’s developmental markers. This coming week is Teacher/Parent Conferences. You will receive a date and time reminder on Monday. Preschool will have after-school hours until 4:00pm, Tuesday-Friday.

This weekend please remind your child about safe lunchtime table manners and being respectful/quiet during rest-time. Thank you for your support.

Have a restful weekend.

Blessings, Ms. Grace and Ms. Hanen
