First Grade Weekly Update

It was a pleasure meeting you all on Wednesday at Back to School Night. I look forward to partnering with you during this first grade year.

First grade begins the full day schedule on Tuesday. Students should eat a good breakfast before coming to school. Remember to send a nutritious snack labelled with their name in addition to lunch or Choice lunch.
We will celebrate mass on WEDNESDAY with the entire school. Students should have an SPN sweater/sweatshirt and no shorts.

Students need to be in line by 8 a.m. ready to start their day in order not to be marked tardy.
Picture day is on Friday. Please return the order form any day up to and including Friday. Students should wear an SPN white shirt with SPN sweater/sweatshirt.

September Number Corner: counting and recognizing numbers 0 to 30 with an emphasis on understanding teen numbers are made of 1 ten and some more. Work in groups of 2, 5, and 10. Unitize-think of 10 items as a single unit called a ten.

September 19: free dress with Fun Fair shirt (available for sale in the office $5)
September 20: no school for students
September 21: Fun Fair
September 23: September birthday free dress
