Preschool Weekly Update – Week of 12/4
O come, O come, Emmanuel!
Hello preschool parents,
On Friday the preschoolers took home their rainforest portfolios. They did such a great job recalling some of their favorite lessons! We did keep a couple of art pieces that may be displayed at the Celebration of the Arts in April.
In preparation for the Advent season we have set up our classroom Creche. The children have started to learn about the Christmas tree star and angels and how they relate to the story of Jesus’s birth. In your family envelope we sent home a coloring sheet with an Advent wreath and a weekly prayer. Your child can color the wreath and as a family you can color in the candle flame as we move toward Christmas.
Our curriculum this month is “Winter Wonderland.” We will explore tundra animals, winter shelters and communities that live in cold climates. Our new shape is square, our color is white and Owl will help us learn the importance of honesty.
Blessings, Ms. Grace and Miss Rosie
