Third Grade Weekly Update

Dear Parents,

I hope this email finds you well and drying out a bit after the wet weather! We’ve been re-establishing routines and expectations in the classroom and third graders are becoming more and more comfortable with them. It’s always so hard to see them go at the end of the year because we’ve spent the whole year working towards these goals. I like to think that I give Ms. Turner the best class I can, and hope they work at their full potential.

We have “Froggy Radio” coming in this afternoon. It’s a fun and silly way to teach children the importance of keeping our community clean. We are really looking forward to it! I’ve included pictures of one of our math lessons on fractions from this week. Enjoy!

Here are some dates to plan for:

  • Tuesday, Jan. 24: Free Dress for January Bdays
  • Wednesday, Jan 25: Fall Sports Photos, Noon Dismissal
  • Sunday, Jan. 29: Open House after Mass, Catholic Schools Week Kickoff
  • Friday, Feb. 3: Noon Dismissal- Teacher Appreciation Day
  • Tuesday, Feb. 14: St. Valentine’s Day- red/white/pink free dress
  • Friday, Feb. 17: Noon Dismissal
  • Monday, Feb. 20: No School/No Share & Care- President’s Day

Please read our SPN Weekly Newsletter to keep up with school info and events!

Lastly, please practice your child’s Oratorical piece with them over the weekend. We will begin reciting them on Monday!
