Third Grade Weekly Update

Dear Parents,

We made it to our first long break, Yeah!! I hope you all find time to rest, relax and visit with people you enjoy. Students bring home report cards and other data today. Please take the time to go over it with your child to set goals and expectations. The envelope is to be signed and returned for use throughout the year. I usually empty it, sign it and put it right back in their backpack to ensure its return. 

We have our first field trip of the year scheduled for January 11th to the Academy of Science in San Francisco. A bus will be chartered to transport us and each family will be billed $55 on their next tuition statement to cover the cost plus admission fees. 

Here are some dates to plan for: 

• Friday, Nov. 18 – Report Card Day
• Mon-Fri, Nov. 21-25 – Thanksgiving Break
• Thursday, Dec .8 – All School Mass
• Sunday, Dec. 11 – Breakfast with Santa
• Tuesday, Dec. 13 – Free dress for December Bdays
• Thursday, Dec. 15 – Christmas Concert – 7pm, Student participation mandatory
• Friday, Dec. 16 – Noon Dismissal – NO SHARE AND CARE
• Dec 19 – Jan. 2 – Christmas Break: No School, No Share & Care

Our Annual Fund Drive is up and running, here are the latest percentages per class:

  • TK: 24%: 35% 4th: 31%: 44%
  • K: 18%: 23% 5th: 19%: 28%
  • 1: 12%: 24% 6th: 27%: 33%
  • 2: 25%: 33% 7th: 20%: 24%
  • 3: 26%: 35% 8th: 8%: 13%

Lastly, thank you for the generous tissue donations! Hopefully with some gentle reminders we can make them last throughout this cold season. Many of you have experienced how bad its been!
