Third Grade Weekly Update

Dear Parents,

I hope this email finds you well and you are enjoying a relaxing weekend so far. We had another great week that included practicing collaborative discussions, addition/subtraction strategies and making some really neat molds and casts of “fossils” on Friday. We are also using our community circles regularly to work on issues that arise during class and recess. Its gives everyone a chance to voice their opinion and concerns in a safe space (no names are used).

Here are some upcoming calendar dates to plan for:

• Tuesday, Sept. 21 – Free dress for Sept bdays
• Friday, Sept. 24 – NO SCHOOL, Elementary Staff Day – No Share and Care
• Saturday, Sept. 25 – Parish Fun Fair
• Wednesday, Sept. 29 – NOON DISMISSAL, Teacher PD
• Oct 5-8 – NOON DISMISSAL for Parent/Student/Teacher conferences (These can either be in person or on Zoom, a Conference form will be sent Sept. 14th)
• Monday, Oct. 11 – NO SCHOOL, no Share & Care: Holiday
• Thursday, Oct. 14 – Make-up Picture Day
• Tuesday, Oct. 19 – Free dress for Oct days
• Friday, Oct. 29 – NOON DISMISSAL, Halloween Parade
