Third Grade Weekly Update
Good afternoon,
I hope this email finds you well! We had a wonderful first week back to school filled with community circles, routines and procedures. Students have done nicely with the flexible seating options I’ve provided and I feel they’ll only get stronger in picking seats they can do their best work.
Below you’ll find our assignment grid, learning objectives and weekly paper packet. There is no need to print them out. Mrs. Schopf and I make sure they have these items at the beginning of each week.
Reminders for this week:
- Monday (8/30)- Free dress July/August birthdays
- Tuesday (8/31)- STAR Reading test
- Thursday (9/2)- Back to School Night (2 sessions- 6:30-6:50 or 6:55-7:15) You can come to either one and may need to plan accordingly if you have two students.
- Thursday (9/2)- STAR Math test
- Friday (9/3)- Noon dismissal
- Monday (9/6)- No School for Labor Day
Lastly, students will undergo STAR testing in both reading and math this week. We will review test strategies procedures prior to taking the test.
