Third Grade Update
Dear Parents,
Students worked hard this week to catch up on assignments and prepare for the end of the week assessments. They enjoyed one of their first Spirit Days of the year and looked fantastic in their Disney gear! Thank you all for signing up for conferences. I’ll send out reminders on green paper with your child’s homework that week. Please know that students are required to attend our conference.
As I continue to learn about our class’ habits and pace, I’ve realized it’s taking more time to complete assignments and for ALL to be turned in. That being said, you may notice that some assignments are on our grid longer than expected. Paragraph of the week recently took 3 weeks, and our religion chapters with review are taking 2 weeks each. I’d like to pick up the pace as we move forward, but need your assistance. Please look in your child’s purple homework/continuing to work folder on a daily basis to see if your child has any classwork to finish and that they are moving through their homework. I’d like all work to be completed by Friday, so that we can all start with only the work ahead of us on Monday. Thank you for your partnership in this.

- Friday, Sept. 23 – NO SCHOOL – Elementary staff day, NO Share & Care
- Wednesday, Sept. 28 – Noon Dismissal
- Tuesday-Friday, Oct. 4-7 – Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences
- Monday, Oct. 10 – NO SCHOOL – Indigenous People Day/Columbus Day
- Friday, Oct. 14 – Make-up Picture day
- Tuesday, Oct. 18 – Free dress October bdays
- Monday, Oct. 31 – Noon Dismissal – Halloween
