Second Grade Update – Welcome Back!
Dear Second Grade Families,
It was wonderful to see those of you who could make it to the park last weekend. If you were away, please know you were missed and that Mrs. Serles and I are excited to see your child soon! We can’t wait to get to know our class as we learn and grow together through this next year!
Our first day is Monday the 21st! 🙂 The school yard opens at 7:40AM. The second grade line will be marked, and Mrs. Serles and I will be out on the yard as well so that students know where to go. 🙂 All students should be in line by the 8:00AM bell. Students should please bring the following:
- Small backpack (no wheels)
- Headphones (or ear buds if your child prefers)
- 1 box of facial tissues
- 2 boxes baby wipes
- 1 container of Clorox (or other disinfecting) wipes
- Small water bottle (it can be refilled at school)
- Snack (daily)
- Summer reading log (if they chose to complete this activity)
We may ask for replenishments of tissues, baby wipes, etc. later in the year as supplies dwindle. 🙂
During the first couple weeks of school, we will focus on developing our second grade classroom community and getting back into routines (both in the classroom and on the yard). Please see below for important dates, including Back-to-School Night, where I will provide a lot more information about what to expect during second grade! 🙂
