Preschool Weekly Update-week of 8/21

“When we treat children’s play as seriously as it deserves, we are helping them feel the joy that’s to be found in the creative spirit. It’s the things we play with and the people who help us play that make a great difference in our lives.” – Fred Rogers

Hello preschool parents!

It was so nice to meet some of our new preschoolers and catch up with returning preschoolers as well. I am so excited to be back and looking forward to a great school year.

The first couple of weeks we will be learning our daily routines, play structure rules/guidelines and focusing on developing our classroom community. Our thematic curriculum will start in September.

Starting in a new classroom or joining a new group can be a little scary for some of our children. If your child needs a little extra care Monday morning you are welcome to help them with putting their backpacks and lunch away. Please give your child a hug, tell them that Ms. Grace will take care of them until you return at 12pm. Only three parents at a time in the classroom so it is important to keep things moving.

The first two days of school will be noon dismissal with no afternoon care. Regular preschool hours start on Wednesday the 23rd.

Blessings, Ms. Grace
