Preschool Weekly Update-Week of 10/24

“She had only stand in the orchard, to put her hand on a little crab apple tree and look up at the apples, to make you feel the goodness of planting and tending and harvesting at last” -Willa Cather

Dear parents,

This week we are going to explore what it takes to harvest at the farm. We are going to finish up our month long exploration of farm life. We have enjoyed this month’s curriculum and the projects.

The preschoolers did a wonderful job during our first earthquake evacuation drill! They “ducked and covered” and then walked quietly to our evacuation spot until Ms. Thomas released the class. Well done preschoolers!!

Halloween is quickly approaching and we have a few guidelines to make this day fun. First, please make sure your child can remove their costume to use the toilet. Also, we do not allow play weaponry at school so please keep that part of the costume home. Preschoolers participate in the school parade and each preschooler needs to have a parent or caregiver escort them. On October 31st, we will meet in front of the preschool classroom at 8:00am, drop-off backpacks. The parade will meet us there. Please email me if you have any questions or concerns.

See you tomorrow.

Blessings, Ms. Grace and Ms. Hanen
