Preschool Weekly Update

Dear Preschool Parents,

It was wonderful connecting with you all last night at the “Back to School Night” Zoom. Your children took home their first “Friday Folder” with their class work. Sorry a few didn’t make it out the door with your child we will give it to you on Tuesday morning. We do keep some of their work for our records and will return it during our Teacher /Parent conferences.

Next week more of the children will be staying for a full day of preschool. If your child is a staying for rest time, please speak to them about being respectful to those preschoolers who are napping. We provide quiet play for our non-nappers but ask that they stay quiet while others are sleeping.

This weekend would also be a good time to remind your preschooler that snack time and lunch time are NOT play time. We must keep everyone safe while eating. We are happy that the children are becoming comfortable and making friends but meal time is not a time to play.

On Friday September 10th, we have picture day. In the past, the preschoolers have been the first to take pictures. Please be at school by 8:30am. Your order form will be in your family envelope on Tuesday.

We will be adding the letter H, exploring our feelings using shapes and learning self-regulation techniques. They will also continue to work in their journals.
