Preschool Weekly Update
Dear Preschool Parents,
The first week of preschool flew by! we’ve been very busy learning each other’s names, making classroom rules, and learning our daily routines. If there is one thing that is very important to the Preschool classroom it’s routine. The children are transitioning nicely and we will continue to work on routines as time goes on. We discussed the importance of wearing masks with help from Elmo. We also had a “soft” fire drill! It was amazing how the children listened to the importance and instructions of fire drills and then followed through with a perfect drill to the front of the church. The safety of your children is our priority.
This week we will start our Mother Goose curriculum. This curriculum allows us to meet your child/ren where they are developmentally. The September theme is “Friends and Feelings”. Some of your child/rens projects will be sent home on Fridays, some will decorate the classroom and some will be kept for the “Teacher-Parent” conferences.
Don’t forget our “Back to School Night” will be Thursday, September 2nd. This will be done virtually this year There will be two sessions for those who have more than one child.
The link and timing for this will be sent on Tuesday, August 31st. Your “Back to School Night” packet will detail many of the curriculum, learning expectations, etc. questions which you might have and will be sent home on Tuesday.
