Kindergarten Weekly Update
It’s been a whirlwind in Kindergarten! The students have been busy with their studies as well as celebrating and enjoying holidays and events.
The Diocese of Oakland will be sponsoring The Lillian Black Festival of the Arts on Sunday, February 24th from 1-5PM. It takes place at Bishop O’Dowd High School. Several different forms of student art from throughout the diocese will be displayed. St. Philip Neri will be participating in this festival with selected pieces of art. You will be notified if your child’s art will be shown. If you’ve never been, it’s a wonderful showcase of art forms.
Next month, the students will participate in the Young Author’s Faire. This is also a diocesan competition in which students and classes write and create books. Kindergarten will create a class book for submission. More info to follow.
Our Super Kid for this week is Maxx.
Rosie will go home with Romeo.
The Guesstimation Jar goes to Joaquin.
Please remember to have your child return their Friday Envelope Folder weekly. They are distributed on Fridays and need to be returned on Mondays ( or the first day of the week if Monday is a holiday.) Many students are not returning their envelopes regularly so that we may put their daily work in for you to see. Thank you.
