Kindergarten Update

Dear Parents, May 21,2021

As we approach the end of our school year, we want to let you know how much your children have grown this school year. Many are reading and computing nicely and are ready to tackle the first grade curriculum with success. The challenges of Long Distance Learning ( and Teaching) have offered the students ( and teachers)  opportunities to grow in a new learning environment. Working in a school community such as St. Philip Neri makes us realize how grateful and blessed we are as teachers; without the parent collaboration and your partnership we could not be successful in the education of your children. Thank you.

We will have a “Saint Philip Neri Prayer Service” on Wednesday, May 26th just like with All School Mass you will receive a link to view on your own in place of our Morning Zoom.  It is the Feast Day of our patron Saint, Saint Philip Neri!  We celebrate him on this day.  Your child has a Seesaw activity with a video to watch about his life for this day.

As announced by Mrs. Murray, Friday will NOT be a Distance Learning Day as originally scheduled. Students will be in person and will be dismissed at 12 Noon.

If your child has borrowed a SPN IPAD please be sure that your child has it in their backpack daily for use here at school. Some students are not remembering to bring it to school and thus are missing out on the lessons that we do in class.

Some students are also arriving without a snack for recess time. Today 5 students did not have a snack. Please be sure that your child has a daily snack. Thank you.

Our  SuperKid  next week will be Edie.

Miss Mari, our author of EIEIART will visit our class on Zoom on Friday, May 28th.  She will speak to the students about being a writer and a lover of Art. If your child would like to ask Miss Mari a question, please have them prepare a question ahead of time for Friday’s Zoom.  Paper will be provided in your folder on Tuesday to write your question if you would like. What a wonderful opportunity for the students!
