Kindergarten Update

Dear Parents, January 15,2021

You should have received information about our Family History Project ( My Family and Me Booklet )  in connection with our Catholic Schools Week celebration. We would like each student to be able to share a little bit about their family’s heritage. Please assist your child in completing this project but allow them to do as much as they can on their own, This project is due back to school by January 28th. Questions? Feel free to email us.

Don’t forget about the Oratorical Fest which takes place on Thursday, February 4th for the entire student body. Kindergartners will recite their speeches in class for their classmates. Teachers will then select four students to participate in the Oratorical Fest. Thanks for the extra practice required for this assignment. If your child is chosen for the Oratorical Fest, please practice with your child so that they can feel confident in speaking in front of the student body.We will let you know which students have been selected.

One last message regarding Distance Learning- Distance Learning is available to students who need to isolate or quarantine from Covid exposure/symptoms or for families who have chosen to remain in that format. It is not available as an option on a daily basis as the students will not typically have the materials ready and it is too difficult to manage new distance learners on a daily basis. The distance learning option was established for families that chose not to come to school for health reasons. As an additional reminder, we need to be notified as well as Mrs. Schmitz in the office for any absences.  Thank you.
