Kindergarten Update

Dear Parents, May 8,2020

We are enjoying the additional Zoom classes with our students and hope that they are too! Please bear with us as we have had some difficulties with technology and that has disrupted some of our Zoom classes. Thank you for your patience.

Don’t forget to have your child write letters of gratitude to some of our nurses, doctors, first responders, etc as Mrs. Murray has requested.

Here is the information as detailed in the Weekly Bulletin:

School wide Service Project: Our student leadership is hosting a school wide letter writing campaign to honor essential workers. Have your child write “thank you” letters and send to any local hospital (i.e.- Alameda Hospital, Alta Bates and/or Summit Hospital.)

Ribbon Ceremony-It has been a tradition here at St. Philip Neri School for the Kindergarten Students to place ribbons on the graduating Eighth graders at a special mass.Since we are not able to do that this year, we will be having the Kindergartners participate in a special videotaped presentation. You will receive details for this special project in the Parent Portal for next week’s lessons.

SPN will have Spirit Day on Thursday ,May 14th. Each class will have a special theme. Kindergarten’s theme is “Sports Teams.” Wear your favorite sports things for the day or decorate a poster or door. Be creative!

Mr. Q. has been joining our morning Zoom class as we videotape the Kindergartners in their song for our Spring Concert. Date to be announced.

Our SuperKid for this week is Landon G.

The Guesstimation Jar goes to Avery.
