Kindergarten Update

Dear Parents, April 3,2020

As we navigate this unprecedented time as well as the changing educational system, we want to acknowledge our parent partnership in the education of your children. This week Governor Newsom gave a “shout out” to mothers (and fathers ) who now are faced with both work and home responsibilities. We know it’s difficult and we will continue to provide support to parents through our continued planning of lessons for our class and office hours.  Know that we are in communication with other educators in order to best serve our students ( and parents) in their Long Distance Learning.

For next month- Please save your children’s Art work in their study of some of the world’s major artists. We are planning to create a slideshow of the Kindergarteners work. We will let you know when we will need them from you. We will also send several links about the artists featured in the book  E I EI Art which you and your child may enjoy.

Also for next month-We will also be pushing out a long term project  ( like the Book project) for Kindergarten after Easter Break.

Two changes-

1.Beginning the week after Easter Break we will hold Office Hours from 1-1:30 every day EXCEPT Fridays.

2.There will not be a daily morning email. We are attempting to cut down on the amount of emails sent to parents while keeping everyone well informed. Please be sure to check the Kindergarten Website every Friday afternoon.  It will give you the information you will need for the upcoming week and may answer some of your questions.

No SuperKid this week.

No  Guesstimation Jar this week either.           .
