4th Grade Weekly Overview
Week of January 7th through January 11th
I hope that everyone experienced a joyous and restful Christmas break. The month of January will be busy with getting back into our routines and preparing for Catholic Schools Week, which includes Open House, at the end of the month. Additionally, there are two weeks in the month of January that are short due to a Diocesan Staff Development day on Friday January 18th and the Martin Luther King Jr holiday on January 21st. We also have 4th grade family mass next Sunday January 13th. I hope to see many of you in attendance.
Students were given a notice prior to the Christmas break regarding the annual SPN Oratorical festival. All 4th graders need to submit a photocopy or printout of their 14 – 20 lines selection to me for review and approval by this Tuesday, January 8th. For a longer work, students can recite a portion of it. The title of the selection, author’s name, and student’s name should be provided on the copy submitted. Every student must commit their selection to memory to recite in class the week of January 14th. Four students will be selected to represent our class at the SPN Oratorical festival during Catholic Schools Week.
If you have questions or would like to discuss anything about your student, please feel free to contact me to schedule a time to meet. I greatly appreciate your continued partnership and support in helping your student to be successful.
