First Grade Weekly Update

The emergency evacuation drill is this Friday, April 5.  All students will need to be picked up by someone listed on their emergency form.  Please refer to the schedule  here.   There will be no Share and Care Friday afternoon.

As part of our lenten journey, first graders have been learning about different recipients of aid from the Rice Bowl each week.  Ask your child to tell you the story of Norma (Guatemala), Annet ( South Sudan to Uganda), and Christyan (Sri Lanka to India.)  Rice Bowls will be collected before Easter.

A visit from the Alameda Free Library will happen on Tuesday, April 2.  We also will have Art Docent on Tuesday afternoon.

On Wednesday, April 17, we will be walking to the Alameda Free Library for an Earth Day field trip with the rest of the school to see a presentation of Penguins.
